De Goudsmid - Dutch for “The Goldsmith” - is a working boutique jewelry atelier, where artist and goldsmith Joy crafts her signature line of jewelry from gold, silver, and natural stones, often drawing quiet inspiration from the colors and textures of Curaçao.

To watch Joy at work feels like stepping back into another time, when fine jewelry was still carefully shaped, soldered, polished, and finished entirely by hand. Inside the atelier, delicate rings, bracelets, necklaces, and custom pieces are created using traditional tools and techniques that have become increasingly rare to witness in person.

The collections lean toward timeless pieces meant to be worn for years and eventually passed down to the next generation. The atelier also takes in existing jewelry for repair, restoration, or reworking into new custom designs.
