Bagira

Bagira is a 27 year-old self taught artist, painter, designer, muralist and mom, discovered my talent at the age of 21 while working as a sales-agent at an accountings firm, I began painting with eyeshadow on the wall and soon realized my talent for painting. After receiving an order for a custom painting from a friend, I quit my job two weeks after and have been living from my art full-time ever since till becoming a home-owner at the age of 25. Algerian father and Hungarian mother, I spent my childhood in several countries, Hungary, Algeria, Netherlands and Belgium before moving to Curaçao in December 2014. Living on my own since I was 15 years old, without finishing school or any help from my parents, I have been an independent young woman, always going for what I want with confidence, believing that it’s not what happens to you, it’s what you do about it.

Being completely self-taught, I experiment with different styles but mostly working with acrylic on wood and canvas. I recently started experimenting with Al.

My murals can be seen all around Curaçao where I’ve established a name for myself in a very short time.
